Default Bravo 1 getting harder to get into reverse

98 stock bravo 1 is starting to get harder to get into reverse, checked cable from shifter back and works smooth, so issue in drive or rear cable, been using royal purple fluid..any idea's ? thanks Rob

Pull the back cap and make sure the detent ball is not coming apart, and make sure it is lubed good. How is the cable from the transition block to the drive?

pulled the cap, ball where rides looked funky, but there is a lot of slop in the pin where the cable link attaches to the arm...had one of those where thru before, so guessing thats worn as well...
