What all is involved to replace the bellhousing on a bravo one?

Okay what I'm referring to is the helmet or gimbal

Why you working on it? Got some lower unit play?

that is the bellhousing. the bell shaped flywheel cover that the trans mounts to has been called the bellhousing since about 1915. and we are all car guys, so it can get a lil confusing.

Keep an eye out on the swap shop, I found some for as little as $100 before I decided to repair my own.

Ok, so I built a new drive stand and removed the outdrive and trim senders, are the bolts behind torx, and if so, what size socket?

They're hex, not torx. I dont recall the size, but big. Like 1/2, 9/16, something like that.
