conversion u joint?
I have a buddy that bought some standoff boxes and got the longer input shafts but the new shafts have the bigger diameter u joint and he has the std bravo joint. Does anyone make a conversion joint like they do for drive shafts?

Are the stand off boxes Imco's? I have two of the small shaft units if they are. I think people have looked for conversion joints before and I dont think they are made.. Shoot me an email if the boxes are Imco's and he is interested in the shafts I have.

Thanks for the reply the boxes he bought are merc intergrated transom boxes so his shafts are only 7" longer. I did not know this the first post until i went and looked at what he had.He got everything except the drives.

there are conversion u-joints available......go to a local NAPA and bring both u-joints or the cap sizes with you and see if they can match it up for you. I installed a 14bolt rear axle in my old k1500 tahoe....didnt want to cut the drive shaft to install a new u-joint so i went over to NAPA with the u-joint form the 14bolt and they were able to find one with two different size caps on it that fit perfect!
