It definently will . I did a compression test on it today . only 100lbs per cylinder :-/ I think I'm still gonna build the top end let it blow then fix it tho. Well see!!

i don't think alpha water pump will cool that much power. you can scare up an old inboard pump and redrill bracket holes to fit smallblock on other side from power steering and alt.

hmm i can see that. idk i think for now im just gonna build it, test it, and go from there. i will let ya know what she runs at temp wise. im curious as well for sure!

I think you would have to be @ 700 rpm or less to be able to shift & have a decent life for the alpha

You will be fine. I have never had a cooling issue w/ stock alpha setup. If there would be problem I would give u the heads up

I'll stand behind this statement. My experience has been 800 an under. 900 and over are the ones I see go boom quickly.

And yes, I've blown these up this way too. So, not just hearsey.
