Default Any suggestion or tricks to remove gimbal housing transom assembly

It's a TR/TRS with the cork gasket if it matters. I've smacked it with a handmall from the inside and pull as best I can from the back. I'v dribbled WD40 around the gasket ?
Help !

get a piece of angle iron and drill 2 holes to fit on 2 drive mount bolts and thread 2 nuts on. put 2 car tire jacks (the little honda-toyota style) between transom and angle iron. crank up so housing has some tension away from hull. then razor knife around perimeter to unstick any caulk or other goop been squirted on over the years. go inside and start banging-prying. maybe a little thinner or acetone into the joint between boat and transom assy. little more tension on the jacks, little more banging, little more prying...oh yeah; make sure all the bolts holding it to the inner transom are out. i use variation of this method on seadoo pumps stuck to hull.

Be certain to use Boatlife Lifecaulk on both sides of the new cork gasket, as the smaller surface area on the bottom of the gimbal housing tends to cut through the cork due to the small surface area and torque load. A new exhaust seal is mandatory if you don`t want any leakage. The point of the Lifecaulk is that it remains pliable under submersion and creates a torque absorbing surface. The tr/trs had constant issues with leakage on the lower surface until we started using the Boatlife product.
