Just rebuilt with all new gears in upper and lower with new max machine parts and bearings also. Last year I broke a clutch shaft and destroyed the gears and lower tower . These are the old sc extremes that Imco made in 2001 with the press in tower. I had too replace the tower. So I put together with a merc mechanic who knows these well and watched all measuring done . They where built too the nats a$$. So 4 hours on drives and I broke the clutch shaft straight across lime it snapped. And the new tower was black. So replaced tower . Bearings in gears. Races, etc etc again with max parts. This time I put on hose too check. At about 2300-2509 it will jerk and pull down for a split second lime it wants too lockup. In forward but not in reverse.the cases where cleaned you could drink out of them. All the gears are still perfect. I use redline heavy shockproof and this is the port side. I that's new u joints and has extension boxes. Gimbals feel good and coup,re is perfect. Thing is the drive won't do it at idle, or up too 2300. I was hoping it was cam overlap from motor but don't believe it is. You can feel a thunk through the boat when it does it. It's hard too listen because of exhaust etc. bravo xrs ... Thanks
