Default Lower unit length ???

Well, I knew it would happen sooner or later, I blew a drive last weekend ( 38 Top Gun, XR-ITS, 1:50 ratio). The whole top end is trash along with the housing. How do I determine what kind of lower unit(s) I have? They have the blue carrier. How do you determine the length, whether standard or -1 or -2 ??

Thanks

The STD length lower is approx 10.5" from the center of the prop shaft to the top of the lower gear case.

Sounds like you just trashed the upper.....the upper is all you should need.

Post a picture of the drive.
Whoever you have fix it should be able to tell you. If they can't............run fast!!!!

Imco's lowers will be labeled with a -1 or -2 if they are shorties.

The lower case measures about 8 1/4 inches form center of prop shaft to the top of the housing. Inspected the lower and it is good. Now it is time to decide on upper drives.. ANY SUGGESTIONS ?????
