I can not remember what the SC gear oil cap is but do remember SC lower with SCX upper is 4.5 qts and then fill reservoir on top of. The SCX is 5 qts and then add for reservoir. If I recall the SC was more than 3 qts total with reservoir but I would call IMCO to make sure.

forgot to add - did'nt some of IMCO's custom drive reservoirs hold 1.5 qts of gear oil alone ?

And IMCO recommends using Torco RTF GL 6 in which is a 100 % syn racing transmission fluid from Torco.

An Imco Extreme Advantage SC is an XR with a thicker case and better tolerances. It takes 3 quarts like a standard Bravo.
I had a SC upper and stock Bravo lower and always ran Merc HP gear lube. The drive had almost 300hrs behind 550hp when I sold the boat.

to be exact the Bravo one complete fill with rectangular bottle reservoir is 88 oz = 2.75 qts. It depends on what reservoir you have and like I said IMCO reservoir is 1.5 qts alone = 48 oz.. Here is a chart for an FYI below.

Bravo one with round bottle is 3.25 qts = 104 oz.
Bravo one with IMCO reservoir is 3.5 qts = 112 oz
