Just make sure you check the pick ups every once in a wile on all drive coolers. Took me hour to dig this tooth pick out. It was jammed up there 3+ inches

I still plan to get one, just have a hard time justifying 200 for a piece of stainless tubing. The money isn't the issue, its just 200 for tubing.

Agree, keep looking at the top cap ones also, but drilling a hole.
As before its not the money, just spent over 30K on my 20k boat |
What do you do when you have a high X dimension? My pickup is high and dry on plane.

My Active Thunder has a pretty high X-dim,. and works great.

Here is a picture looking back. You can see the pickup at the top. I'll have to get a picture at speed, but it is barely getting sprayed.

Quick question for the brain trust. My new to me Formula 353 has XR drives and has never had drive shower on it. They came with the boat, just never installed. So before I drill the plates which side does the pickup go on? Since the props turn in opposite directions I would assume that the pickups are also on opposite sides. Question is on the Right hand rotation drive does the pickup go on the right or left. Assuming the left will be opposite.
Thanks, Dave |
