Land and Sea Stern Jack
#41
Stern Jack coupler. I bought a stern Jack a few years back, it had everything but the coupler. I went to the local driveshaft shop and they set me up with one. Think it was a slip spline from jeep driveshaft .They cut it to the length I needed. Still have entire setup with rams. Had it on a 24 Baja outlaw. I'm considering getting another one to see if it will give me more bow lift on my current boat. The steering does get harder if you have the conventional mercruiser rack style steering. Yes it Will get your prop higher and lower in the water, but I Think it's more about leverage on the hull and creating bow lift. The Baja handled well with it. But the steering was noticeably harder. If you have external hydro rams idont think you will notice it. I was looking at my wing plates and thinking of making an adaptor plate to bolt to the top and bottom of it so it will reach to the stock length steering rams. This way if you dont like the results, unbolt everything and change it back. Some stainless plate a plasma cutter and a drill press or bridgeport will do the trick. Nothing lost👍👍mine is a bravo

A little not much to speak of. The boat already had a little rocker built into it with the way they designed the small keel pad and 24 degree deadrise. It had very good bow lift before i tried the stern Jack. But for a boat that needs bow lift i think it will help

Nice. You won't know until you try it. Do have a lot of bw lift now. I thnk thats where difference will be. Lke extension boxes. I have one setup. Do you know where I can get a second because I would like to try it also. I had it n the outlaw for one season, took it off because it was harder to steer and didn't want t damage the stock steering.

Trying to keep my front down , and barely found these two ,the guy on ebay wants 3 times as much as the ones I found , just wondering if the boat will be faster and I can take out the 400lbs of sandbags i have shoved up front.
