BUP, the previous owner never put any grease in the couplers is what I meant. They were bone dry when I pulled the drives off! Of course that's not the case now.
On the water passage and shift cable orings (drive and bell housing) the book calls for just grease on the orings for sealant. Have you found something better to ensure a good seal and prevent water intrusion into those areas?

we use bellows adhesive to hold the o rings in place for the inner portion only of the o-ring itself but before all of that clean out the areas very well they sit in and are going to mate against. Most important is to use brand new O rings for everything.
