Default Drive linkage position during bravo 1 install?

I've read that you should have the shifter in the boat set to forward when installing the drive but what position should the shift linkage in the drive be set to? Neutral or Forward? Thanks!

Default

It's wiith an alpha drive, the shifter has to be in forward. With a Bravo, just leave the shifter in neutral. I pull the shift connection out of the drive unit with a pair of needle nose pliers (if its not out already) so its ready to clamp on to the shift cable as you slide the drive on.
