Default Help finding correct engine coupler

Guys,
What is the best engine coupler to use? 1988 Migage Intruder 217 w/ alpha 1 w/ 383 Stroker approx 375hp... Original finally gave up when I was using a 4 blade 19 pitch prop pulling a large tube...... cant seem to find the original, only sierra aftermarket and they don't look exactly the same triangle type

Thanks

Don

If you are interested in a used one I know where one is that is most likely available. It was mine and I parted with it just on Monday.

12.75" vs 14" flywheel will determine which coupler you need. My prior 383's were the 12.75" flywheel and used the Merc 12632A6. The 14" will need Merc 12632A4.

If you Alpha drive had the triangle shaped coupler the hole where the coupler sticks through the flywheel cover (bell housing) is much smaller than the Bravo cover. You will need to change the flywheel cover with a Bravo one.

My Bravo coupler is 6-3/8" Obviously the hole must be larger. I measured coupler circumference = 20" / 3.1416 = 6.37"
Good Luck
