I hope you guys don't scare thewhitemongoose away, I thoroughly enjoy reading his very informative posts.

Thewhitemongoose what can you do for my alpha drive to beef it up? Can you get it to survive behind a real (not imaginary) Whippled 525?

:food-smiley-009: Yeah... and what prop will you be designing for Brett to manufacture for it?

Here's a good one.... How does a physiatrist go about treating someone suffering from grand delusions of fortune and fame, mechanical know-how, and practicing medicine? Come on Doc... Surely google md has an answer for you??

How about this? I found him : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMo_HcRBnUY

Hey guys getting back to the nose cones how hard was it to install them on the XR drive with low water pick up?

How fast is your boat? It may not help unless your boat is already over a certain speed.

You don't need them then,

I run the same speed, I had Hydromotive nose cones on mine, the epoxy was flaking off, so I decided to knock them off,
didn't loose anything on the top end and picked up about 2 mph at cruise speed

Same hull, same drive height, same props ?
Tough determination to make between brands of boat. Pretty sure a few of these 35 Lightnings benefitted from the nosecone addition to stock lowers.

My previous boat ('02 35' Lightning 575's) cracked 100mph in fresh water with hydromotive nose cones.
