Looking for maximum HP that has been run through IMCO SCX and specifically SCX4 gear case without issues.I am personally running @ 820hp through an SCX4 for 4 years with no issues, just gear lube changes on a regular bases.

I have not read or heard about many if any failures with the scx. I have "heard" of a couple of failures of scx-4 spinning #6 props but I believe those were all bigger heavier boats than a 27' progression. I've been doing a lot of research, have a SCX upper in the garage and a SCX lower on the way.
Pro27 was your motor always at 820hp or have you done upgrades since you first dropped it in? I remember you saying you thought the motor was around 750 when you put it in the boat and that you didn't dyno it. 820 would make a little more sense with those crazy speeds you're seeing.
