Default Advice needed: Upgrading Bravo 1 drives..??

Ok so bravo one drives are good for up to 500-5500 hp at the most but I am running new engines that are now supercharged at 750 hp and I have read people say that you can run the higher hp engines with these drives but you have to accelerate and deacelerate more slowly and carefully.I need to know what are the best ways to upgrade the bravo one setup.

I can buy other lower unit like imco but I do not know where the problems arise when you have a break down in the drive.I dont want to buy things for no reason so I need the professional help here. The boat is a catamaran and it will be flying at times with big hp so it needs strong drives. I hope you understand what I mean, I was thinking to add the imco lowers to the bravo one gimbals and top part but I dont know if the problem with the high hp is in the upper or the lower, gimball etc.

What AO 3100 did you buy, pics? Any luck with your 500 gallon fuel capacity quest yet?

I wouldn't wast money to put IMCO bottoms on B1 uppers, XR's would probably be the least expensive upgrade and should be bolted to HP gimbles, then you move the IMCO SCX and such to be stronger yet.

XR's might not last either,

Your best bet without spending 60K+ is probably some XR uppers with IMCO lowers in your choice of length and also a pair if drive guardians. Should be able to do it for 25K, but still no guarantees that you won't break one. Might be able to do it for 15-20K if you shop around for some good used parts.

In the mean time, find a good used bravo for a spare. Things seem to break less if you already have the replacement in hand.
