bravo trim problem
Ok, I just put my motor back in this weekend and everything checks out but now the hydraulic trim will not actuate the trim rams. They sat for 4 months without being disturbed. They worked fine in Dec. The trim motor operates in up, trailer, & down. I disconnected the limit switches and checked for torn/frayed wiring. I disconnected the ram hyd lines and checked for fluid and obstructions. i disconnected the rams and twisted the end caps. So far nothing has helped the situation. The pump sounds good but it will load up after 20-30sec of timing up with no movement. It acts like there is no pressure or there is air in the system.......i didn't see any similar ituations in the library here. Any ideas????

you might have hoses on backwards. there is a ton of pressure to raise drive , ordinarily. and not much pressure to lower, since it doesn't need much. if backwards, you hit up, pump drives rams in-down where rams already are. you hit down, pump tries to raise but is too weak. BTW, every spring, dries get stuck up cuz they were left up all winter. switching lines is a way to lower. instead of hitting down and having your largest friend jump on drive.
