Default bad freeze plug on transmission??

looking at a boat but the transmission needs a new freeze plug. what does that in tail to replace? im mechanically inclined and have rebuilt motors, carbs and installed lift kits.
thank you for your help with this guys. its a 502mag with a bravo 1 if that matters.

Better pass on it... there's no freeze plugs on the transmission on a bravo boat ;-)

guy said it was a 1k job and that the motor had to come out. could he be mistaken and it's a rear freezer plug on the block?

I'd still pass.... sounds like it might
have spent some time with water in the cooling system at below 32 *

Or more. Depends what the frozen water broke. If there was water in the shortblock then there is always a chance it was in more things or all things.

seller is either clueless or trying to burn you. bravos have no transmission, or cooling water in the housing attached to back of engine. how much is the boat? what year is the boat? tell him 7k less for the price of a new 502... where are you? if you buy it I may be interested in the cracked 502 block.

its an 83 redo in the 90's with twin 502's. shipping a block to NJ from me would be a ton. lol he is asking 11k for the boat.
