I would call Bravo Shop he makes and sells special tools for Bravo’s that Mercury doesn’t sell or make . That tool appears to be one of the tools he makes. His special tools make drive rebuilding a lot easier. As he said Mercury doesn’t consider that bearing serviceable. There are extra large blind hole bearing puller kits on line for around a hundred bucks that work. The bearings sell on line for about $50. When you put that bearing back in it doesn’t get pressed all the way down just even with retaining clip grove. There’s about .025 space under bearing, that’s where all the metal collects and inside bearing in rollers. Like he said you can’t clean it out.

Yea .... I have a message in to John .... I have a local friend that has the merc tools but the bearing not available thru merc I doubt he has it .....might try a reg blind hole collette type puller tomorrow ....thanks .....m
