I always figured 200-250 hrs and it’s time to pull them apart. Anything after that is on borrowed time. Much cheaper to rebuild than to replace. |
I don't think you can say they will last x amount of hours, several factors play in, engine HP, weight of the boat, props, who rebuilt them, person behind the wheel and driving style, some will get more hours of use than others, no different than TRS, some can break them with 400 hp.......and others run more and their ok

I’m talking about anything 30-40ft with 525’s, and it doesn’t matter how you drive it. If your fortunate enough to make it over 200 hrs it’s time to start looking at those gears. |
43' + 600's + XR's = didn't even make it out of the factory's prop testing! :stooges:
