correct way to set drive alignment?

need to set my alignment between drives.dont i measure the distance between the crank centers and set the prop shafts 1/8" shorter?

I believe the prop shafts are supposed to be slightly different than the nose but it depends on the prop rotation. If the props turn in you adjust one way and if they turn out you adjust the other. Do a search for toe in / toe out a you should find this subject discussed elsewhere.
