Default TRS outdrive mechanical trim indication

Hello everyone any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to replace my trim indicator cables on my TRS drives and am having trouble figuring out how to remove cables from the mechanisms that are attached to drives. It seems like the rod the cable goes into is all one piece. Do i need to buy cable already attached to rod? If so where do I find them?

The take a look at where the cable goes into the stainless trim actuator. You will see a small set screw. put some penetrating oil on it and unscrew it Then you will be able to pull the cable out. The cable should have a length marked on it .

Default TRS drives - mechanical trim indicator cable

I'm in the same situation....needing to replace my TRS trim mechanical indicator cable. Will do as suggested to remove the cable. Does anyone have a merc p/n for these cables or are these just a 33C type cable with a specified length. According to Fountain, my starboard cable should be 22' and port should be 24', but they don't stock them and couldn't tell me what kind of cable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
