Hydraulic Steering for Blackhawk Drivie
Looking for recommendations on full hydraulic steering for Blackhawk 22 Daytona. Who makes wingplates for these drives?https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...362bcacf6c.jpghttps://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...02722a9d66.jpg |
My stuff is all Imco on my blackhawks. |
HR could you post a pic of what your rigging looks like? To help everyone out RSlick gave me some great information. Marine Machine still makes a wing for the Blackhawk. I am considering this and Teague called Imco and although they have no wings in stock anymore, they were willing to fab one up for me which I appreciate. I am thinking the best way to rig it would be IMCOs HD transom with integrated steering. It takes things to a new stratosphere of cost, but that housing is much more up to the task of taming the vibration and stress the Blackhawk delivers than the stock Mercury stuff. I installed it on my 34 DCB and they are really nice pieces. |

I got the steering back plate from Marine Machine. They had a couple of them left and gave me some great advice. I used Imco hydraulic rams and transom components. I had to dig deep in my old geometry books to figure out placement of the rams to avoid the exhaust and swim platforms. Imco does not make the back plate for the Blackhawk anymore but they said they would make one for me if I couldn't find them anymore. I bought the hydraulic helm and interior components from Hardin Marine. Their components worked well and were the best value. I had to pick parts from a bunch of different companies, but it works very well on the very light Kevlar 22 Daytona. I patched all the old transom holes and put a new trim cable seal, swim platforms,etc.... |
How does it run? i have a 25 warlock sxt that would probably like a blackhawk
