#6 Propshaft Question
I’ve got #6 prop shafts on Imco SCX lowers, and am wondering how to determine what prop locks to buy. The boat is 6hrs away in storage, or I’d probably be able to get some measurements to maybe figure this out. The boat is new to me, so I’m not familiar with these drives/shafts. Anyone have any info they could share? TIA

I'm not sure about #6 shafts in IMCO drives, but I'd think any lock for a #6 shaft should work. I used McGard until a mechanic used an impact on the lock/key and buggered up the lock (made of brass). Took me 2 hours to cut the thing off.
I just purchased BBlades prop locks over the winter, although I haven't installed them yet.

I have SCX-4's w/6 shafts and the thread is different than a 6 and the other 2 SCX's I've seen. So, there's a few with a different thread. Now I have 2 new McGaurd locks that I can't use, and nobody makes them for my thread. I think I even ordered them to have matching keys. Half price, send me a check.
