Conversion from Trs to Bravo II need advice!
Hi Guys,
well quite a newbee here and with power boats :-) here's a short description on whats going on Boat: Wellcraft Excalibur 1988 42ft. engines: 2xMercruiser MCM420 425hp with borg Warner trans and TRS drives the drives are all rotted out, way past any hope so ive bougth a set of new serviced Bravo II set up, and now we are in the think fase on how to install it the best way possible. Is it possible to keep the engines in the position the are in now? it would be prefereble to have good work conditions in the engine bay if possible, if we move the engines back we lose all free space So here is my game plan possible or not!!! remove the BW trans install a set of used mercruiser 7.4/454 bellhousings have custom fabricated a set of driveshafts. do you guys know of any spareparts needed or any one done this type of conversion ? ive read almost all post's regarding trs/bravo conversions on the internet without any luck!! so please help me.. Kind regards Casper P |
Yes, it can be done and the thread indicates what needs to be changed to start.

I believe Bravo two drives are work boat drives. Not intended for use over 50 MPH.
