Default After bravo 1 replacement boat is slow

Hello, my Bravo 1 blew 2 weeks ago on my Nova XL 23. It took out the prop hub and the engine coupler at the same time. Now , the boat is back in it is really long to get out of the hole and isn't as fast. I do have my old prop on while I wait for the hub on my "good" prop. I understand it might be the reason for the worse performance. But just to check, can a drive be rebuilt, work well but reduce performance because of something gone wrong during the rebuild?

You need to check that the gear ratio is the same as your old drive sounds like someone changed ratios Regards Dan

Is the ratio a thing that can cause the drive to blow under normal use? Or just performance related? Thanks

It does sound like a gear ratio change.......was your old drive rebuilt and you're using the same prop? Are you achieving the same max RPM or is that noticeably reduced? If so, your gear ratio is likely the problem.
