Question Shift Rod Height Measurement

1984 Johnson 150 Model # J150STLCRD
I can't seem to find accurate information anywhere or even an old used Shop Manuel for this engine. I'm not a close enough kind of guy and removing the lower on this old girl is a royal pain. Getting on the shift rod pin includes removing the bottom carbs and even at that it's very difficult to even see or get a tool on. So I want to do it once and do it right. I'd really appreciate if someone could help a brother out with this info. So far people have told me three different measurements, 22 1/16......21 1/16.....and 21 15/16 wtf????? Thanks, deep

Thank you for your efforts SB. I've been through ebay and amazon and have found nothing specifically for this 1984 20" shaft V6. Model J150STLCRD to be exact. Called a local marina who've been around for many years and they gave me a fourth measurement of 22 1/8 +- . Hoping someone can verify for me.
