Default Drive guardians

How are these working out with the guys that have been running them for awhile? How long are they lasting? They saving your drives? Pros and cons of them? What is better money spent, drive upgrades (parts) or the guardians?

Considering them for 700+ hp motors with imco sc drives.

I just finished first season with them. I’m in 38’ Top Gun, 750 hp’s. IMCO SCX uppers with SC lowers. Ran hard this year and lowers looked brand new. If they save you one rebuild, they’ve paid for themselves IMO.

I was under the impression the drive guardians alone were $2500 each, plus pulling the motors to install. A bit more than one rebuild.

I’ve chewed up a lower at a cost of $1800. Not too far from the $2100 (at cost) I paid for one. Both motors were out for rebuild, so I took advantage of the timing as well.

I run them in my 46 Outerlimits w/ 1300hp and #6 drives.. Mainly to help save the transmission and lower the gear wear in the drives
