The difference between low bump high bump gear

hi everyone, i'm looking to know how to differentiate low bump from high bump gear someone could guide me on that thank you

As I recall, the high bumps will have H on the eccentric ( bump ) ring
right near the + - markings. X and XR gears are high bumps, only std bravo’s
list it as being optional

What is this you speak of?

In 15 years of having a performance boat with a bravo drive, I have never heard of such lunacy!

(...If "performance boat" and Bravo should be in the same sentence is a whole other topic.)

It really doesn’t have anything to do with the gears, they just thread on to them

Mercury doesn’t even sell them separately, but others do

https://www.cpperformance.com/p-1682...hift-ring.aspx

Their primary function is to hammer ( by the cam action of the rotating ring)the shift fork and cone out of the driven gear, when shifting out of gear, they do to a lesser extent, help it shift into gear, there’s also a more robust shift link set up used with the high bumps due to the heavier load they experience
