So I know the blackhawk world is small these days but I thought I would give it a try to get some actual slip numbers and set-ups that work (current or past) with different prop pitch's. This summer I will be experimenting with a 1.65 BK with 31" props on a 19' boat 600hp 590lbs on a carb'd SBC. The drive came off of a P-29. The hull that I will be using it on is a v-bottom with a small delta pad and an imco extension box. It may not work at all due to the ZERO slip at low speeds causing stalling problems and/or hull design but I would like to see what others have come across with single engine set-ups. I have been told some have found better results with using a 27/29 or a 29/31 split rather than 27/27, 29/29 or 31/31 for prop sizes. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to facebook, then to the Donzi Restoration group page. Look for Craig Skilling. He has a whippled 383/blackhawk drive and has been playing with different prop set ups. He has a Classic 18' thats is close to 93mph. There are a few factory 22' Donzi blackhawk boats on the Donzi page too.

Funny you say that, he is actually the guy who told me about it but I haven't spoke to him in a while. His results are blurry to me anymore. I'll see if he wants to comment on here for everyone to see
