Bravo gear lube reservoir pressure?
How much pressure does it take to force the lube through the drive into the reservoir? The drive is a '90 or '91. I can only get lube to the top hole. Once I put the plug in all I can do is build pressure and nothing is going through into the bottle.

You have the cap off the bottle, correct?
|
Well, now that you mention it, no I didn't. Though I wouldn't have expected the res to be pressurized.

Removed inaccurate info.

The cap is designed as a one valve. That way, when lube warms up and is under pressure, it won't blow out the top cap. Cap needs to be off if filling from the bottom of drive and upper plug is in.

Thanks guys. Hopefully I can get back to it this weekend. Appreciate the info.

I never remove the top plug. I just remove the cap from the reservoir and fill from the bottom until the reservoir is half full.

Ohh wow. I never knew. I just re-read the factory service manual and found this:
