Default Bravo 1x gear noise

Is it normal to have some gear noise when a drive is fresh with new upper gears and and all new bearing/races when shifted into gear? Refreshed my drive after a log strike which bent the prop shaft, .009, and knocked a tooth off the upper, replaced everything except lower gears and vertical shaft. All preload and backlash is set to mercury specs with the proper drive tools, spins freely by hand, alittle tighter than my starboard drive with 380hrs on it, is perfectly quiet in neutral, ran it on the hose for 30 min in gear at idle, shifted perfect, drained fluid and it was clean, I've never had a brand new drive so I'm just curious if this is normal until the gears wear in, I really want to finally get on the water this year!!! appreciate any input

I am interested too! I hear Bravos can be noisy but I do not have enough experience. For what its worth:
Dual Bravos...same clanking noise???

No clunking at all, drive is smooth at idle, in gear, just has a little whine it didn't have before only when in gear, idle is quiet, I have a buddy who had his rebuilt last year and his too has a whine, says it works perfect but sounds totally different

Update......noise was just gear whine, old drive was very quiet, put about 5 hrs on it, changed fluid after first 2.5 hrs, gear oil was clean, different sound just raised question or concern for nothing
