Can a Mercruiser 215H lower gear case be rebuilt to fit a TRS upper? I need a TR lower gear case (not a TRS). I have a complete 215H with what looks like a TR lower. I have the TR lower gear case internals, only the housing is bad. The engine is a 255 and the transmission is a MCM-A. Ideally I would replace the TR lower but I have not been able to find one. I appreciate any guidance or ideas.
