I agree with smokediver, but I would add... If you added a drive shower right before this happened. If the drive shower was never an issue prior I would not assume it is now.

In hindsight I should have marked the hub with a line to confirm slippage, ill do it on the new one .
drive shower isn't new .

Long shot, but when i hear solid hub, mirage and cleaver come to mind.
i have a pair of 23 pitch mirage plus , and a 25 pitch mirage plus left, all with the removable hub.
all straight, never welded or repaired.

even trade any one of mine with a complete removable hub for your solid hub if youd like or if it would help.
your in the states right ?

edit in; big engine like that, your prob turning a higher pitch prop.
