Update- Got U - Joint shafts back- New bearings and balanced, Installed in receivers- Removed double seal on each forward shaft. Will be replacing. Separated drives and removed boots. Cleaning up retaining threads male & female, & all locking edges. Drive shafts balanced and painted.
All metal surfaces blasted, sanded, scraped to bare surface. Will be doing a 7 coat prime & paint . Used West system epoxy and barrier coat to make minor repairs around transom, mainly around thru-hulls hardware.

Update Drives are now mounted. There are 3 seals per ball rope/o-ring/rope. We installed new rope on outside,, new o-ring in middle,, and used rope on inside. The reason being we could not get the retainer ring started with 2 new rope seals.
We have filled the drive with gear oil and we continue to move the drives around by hand and re-tighten the retainer ring. Next we will install the clips in the retainer ring and secure the new boots. Since we were stripped to bare metal, we are following
Interlux paint directions for a total of 7 coats primer and paint. The props were dropped at Wilson Custom Marine in Florida for rebuild and balance, they are complete and waiting to be installed.

These props are 20 X 25. Marc Wilson is the best prop guy for Arnesons anywhere IMO. We just sea trialed @ 39.7 knots, smooth a silk. Next up is repair all fiberglass dents & dings, and then 2 coats of Awlgrip. Then hit the water for the summer!
