Default Arneson Drive Rebuild- Anyone Interested?

It has been 15 years & 2000 Hours since my Arneson ASD #8 drives have had anything done except oil changes and a prop shaft seal.
This year we plan to drop the drives, put in complete U-Joint Assemblies, Seals, New Boots/clamps

, & Bearings (if needed). If anybody is interested in watching, I would be glad to have one of the guys photograph or video some of the process.
It might be best to drop me an email to [email protected], as I dont check the internet that much

Setup a go pro or Wyze or iphone and do a timelapse for us watching from home.

If you were close to me, would love to watch in person.

Ok guys will try to get pics/video. Also got email about ball size. will get that measurement for U. Unfortunately, I am waiting on parts from Rik @ Arneson. Hoping for the best on that subject.
These drives have been nearly trouble free for along time (So have the Cat Diesels)
Sabre, not sure where U R in Pa, but we are in Ocean City, MD, so maybe not too far. We have a small rental apartment above garage, if u wanna come down some time

Pizzacutter - If there is a delay with Rik getting the parts, you can try Twin Disk as I believe that they are building the ASD8's and larger, and may be where your parts originate anyways....

Thx for twindisc link . Rik has promised parts soon, so I will wait a bit. I would add that Rik has been supplying me parts for 30 years and service has been outstanding. This order is running late, but so is a lot of stuff these days. Keeping fingers crossed.

The Boat is 1987 42' Harley. Twin Caterpillar 3126/Arneson ASD #8. Have owned the boat for 30 years (repowered twice) . Rarely miss a day boating because of mechanical issues. Get 1 KMPG all days long

PC,
Very sweet set-up you have there! What transmissions are in it? Thinking about going the diesel/ASD8 route myself....
