Default Small marks on transom for gimbal bearing

Have anyone else seen these kind of marks by the gimbal bearing? The thing is also that i can pull my new bearing in and out by hand... going to try an OEM bearing today to see if it sits better. But still curious about those marks and how they got there

Yeah, i think the outer plate is scrap 😭

Ayuh,.... The ssteel tolerance ring musta been vibrating to beat 'ell, to cause those wear marks,.....

Turn the new bearing slightly so the bumps on the tolerance ring rides on the high spots, rather than in the worn in grooves,....
