Default Bravo 3 yoke/u-joint assembly R&R question

I am replacing the yoke/input shaft assembly on a Mercruiser bravo 3 (SN 0W94xxxx) drive. On the new assembly, I'm replacing the o-ring, seal, nut, and washer on the assembly and transferring the current drive gear, bearings, races, and shims. Here's my question,
After assembling and setting the rolling torque do I need to check the gear lash?

2009 Searay 240 Sundancer, 350 Mercruiser powered.
Thanks

You’re using the existing pinion and bearings, so I would say no.

Just make sure you align the + & - on the driven gears before you
reinstall the pinion assy
