Never had any problems with SEI or their warranty policy.

I might order a couple Bravos soon.

Back in the day, if I had a bad feeling about rebuilding one of my chucklehead customers watercraft engine, I'd advise them to use an SBT(parent company of SEI) rebuild. Absolutely 100% no fault warranty, even if they forgot to add oil or submerged it.
Great company to do business with.

well, I'm sure they are no different than any other company these days, where are the mercury parts made? every time I buy anything merc related most are made out of the country, worked for GM for 37 years and almost every part that came out of that parts department was made somewhere else other than the USA , it sucks but It is what it is, but I don't think where the parts are made apply these days.

Will removing the back cap and replacing it with an IMCO one for steering void the warranty? This one looks to be the more curved bravo one. Mine are from 2001, not sure what year they switched and or if the back caps are interchangeable.

Just over 1/3rd of what a quick search of new Bravos online are going for.
Less than a third against list price.
These are going to sell well if they last.
Save a lot of peoples boating in certain situations.

I doubt it. Besides, you'd remove them both if you had to warranty it anyway.

You have to drill and tap 2 additional holes per drive if I recall correctly. They might notice. We could ask the chat on their site.
