Did I use the wrong impeller? 😡

My stern drive is alpha1 gen 2 serial number 0F333583. I used quicksilver 8M0100526 water pump kit. Should I have used 817275Q05 Water Pump Impeller Repair Kit instead? It could explain some of my issues if so. Thank you

They are both for the gen II. It appears one has the oil seals and the other doesn’t.

What issues do you have and try to keep it in one thread please. I see you started 3 in one day over the same subject area. Thanks.

Here are pics of the two part #’s you listed

let's please keep it real. I started 2 not 3 post and trying to get to 10 so I can post pictures 😅. But anyway, here's the quick run down. I'll try keep this short. After replacing my 140 deg thermostat, My exhaust manifolds and elbows was reading the following temp with ir gun after running 2 miles on the river.
Starboard Manifold - 175/Riser - 115.
Port Manifold - 170/Riser - 104. Temp gauge reading 160. So I replaced the circulating pump and done the impeller. Everything went well with the impeller. I'm pretty certain the water tube lined up good. But after replacing the impeller, I'm getting water out of both idler relief holes on each side of the gear case. (I tried to post a picture). Also after running the boat on my garden hose for about 20 minutes, the water coming out at the transom got a little steamy. I idled down to idle only rpm and it cooled back off. Maybe I ran it too long being on a garden hose?
So I guess that brings a couple questions, is my manifolds too hot? Is water coming out of idle relief ports normal? never noticed it before the impeller was changed.and thank you for clearing up the difference in impellers. I'm relieved I do not have to change that again

If anyone wants to chime it it would be greatly appreciated 😁

I put the boat on the river today. Long story short. I put in a new 140 degree thermostat, new circulation pump and new impeller. All quicksilver parts. After running about 2-3 miles on the river at WOT or close to it, my temp gauge got 160 degrees or just shy from it. My temperature reading with IR gun: Therm housing - 147, Starboard Manifold - 175, starboard elbow - 140, starboard exhaust 118.
Port side Manifold - 180, port elbow- 140/ port exhaust 150. I did have an alarm go off but as soon as I touched the wire going to the sending unit the alarm stopped. I ran the boat another 2-3 miles at wot or close to it and got the same temp reading with no alarms. So I'm assuming the wire connection wasn't good. Would a loose wire cause my alarm to go off? Is the temperatures on my manifolds and elbows ok? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I don’t see any issues but i’m not the smartest guy.

I got faith in you 😁

Normal to see some spots hotter than others like that. Seems like when you touched the wire you found the problem.

it was the wire on the sending unit starboard side of the thermostat housing

One more quick question 😁. My exhaust bellows (from the transom to the propeller) has come off on the propeller side. Does that really need to go back on? I been seeing mixed reports on that and have even seen some replacement bellows (not sure it's for my particular setup tho) with an open end leading to the propeller side. Thanks
