Default Bravo one Trim motor issue

Yesterday I discovered my drive will not go up. Stuck in the down position. When you hit the up button at the helm it just clicks at the solenoid. When I jumped positive + to the blue wire on the trim motor, it sparked and obvious its a short to ground. Don't like getting sparks in the engine compartment!!! My first thought was bad up solenoid, but if I jump the wire the motor should go up, not spark and short out. correct?

What happens with down? Did you disconnect all wires from solenoids? Do that before indicting trim pump.
