I have been looking around for a new gps/fish finder for the boat. But there are so many to choose from!! I'm not looking to spend a million bucks but I deff need something. Does anyone have any suggestions ??

I had and really liked the lowrance hds5.

I just tried my Garmin 740s for the first time and loved it...like my wife said this is like gps for idiots it is so user friendly and easy to use...great detail and features too with the g2 vision card...can get it for under a grand

+1... great unit, especially with the Vision card. And if you get the Garmin HomePort software, you can plan all of your routes at home on a big screen, transfer them to the SD card and upload them to the GPS. works really well..
