What's the current engine setup, and what are you currently monitoring on the HDS7? Single tank boat I take it ?

Maretron TLA100-01 Tank Level Adapter, NMEA 2000

What I'm using...works great.

As High Cetane has listed will do it.

However with that "adapter" you'd probably have to give up your analog gauge. Ohm based sender units sometimes aren't easy to split signal between multiple gauges. Was that your case Cetane?

I'd suggest the TLM150 which would require a new hole in the tank and just a NMEA Tee placed between your display and the smartcraft gateway.

Eric at EB Marine told me to go with the lowrance EP-85R, its only 100 dollars and if I have to loose the analog gauge then oh well

Yeah if OK losing the analog gauge, then there ya go.

Order a NMEA2000 Tee connector [ with correct ends to match what you have ] and maybe a short jumper cable if you need more length. Then just connect it all together, done deal for under a $150 total..

Unlike the OP, I never had a analog gauge...just the sender. I am running a Helmview 1000.
I believe you are correct, I doubt sharing the sender wires for the 2) gauges would be a good thing.............but..........if the OPs 'options don't include replacing or losing the analog gauge...cant see why you couldnt split the sender wires on a DPDT switch. A bit unorthodox, but an option nonetheless.

Joketchum- Thats great you found a cheaper option!

Great idea Hi-C... For only a couple extra dollars a DPDT would serve as a quick (Emergency Backup) switch between the old analog gauge and N2k converter. Make all your connections to the fuel sender under the dash, Tee in a small DPDT switch, Analog_Gauge/Sender/N2k_Converter, and tuck it away in the wiring harness. Worst case scenario, you lose that plotter, reach under the dash and flip the switch to restore your old analog fuel gauge. Then keep on boating..
