Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge on the Garmin 7608?
I'm looking for a GPS and considering this one.

Just came out so other than playing around with one at the boat show I doubt anyone has used one yet. I have two 7616's coming to replace my 5212's. They work the same way as the other glass helm plotters that have been out since last year. But now with the XSV you don't need a separate sounder or external GPS. Pretty sweet package. I am getting an XSV and a regular one, with the new transducer I will have traditional chirp, plus chirp side vu and down view sonar. They also integrate with the new Fusion 750 series head units. I think Garmin has the best models on the market currently.

I didn't know they were that new. I was introduced to them at the New Orleans boat show. It looks like a nice unit.
