Default Looking to upgrade my stock speakers

I have been shopping around online to upgrade my stock Stereo this winter. I was thinking about the JL MX650-CCX but while looking up reviews I came across this site http://marine-speakers-review.toptenreviews.com/
and the Fusion FR6021 seems to out preform the JLs on paper for about $80 less a set "found JLs for $184 on other sites". what are your thoughts.

this is the Set up I am currently looking at putting together

Kenwood 700u head unit
Rockford M600-5 Amp
still shopping for a 10in infinite baffle sub. between Rockford and JL

I would go with a PDX-V9 over the RF amp

The RF M600-5 are $320 on ebay and Alpines V9's are $395.
IMO, well worth $75 more.

RF specs ...50 watts RMS x 4 + 200 watts at 4 ohms---------Alpine specs........ 100 watts RMS x 4 + 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 or 4 ohms
You really do not need a "marine" amp. The regular Alpines will be fine.
The Alpines are also under rated as far as actual power output. It will be more like 110x4 and 540x1.
It will run cooler and last longer because its not being pushed so hard.

I have 2 of the older PDX amps in my boat that have been flawless for 6-7 years. I got mine off ebay from one of the large sellers.

I would not be concerned with the on paper specs. I used JL MX650s to replace a slightly more expensive speaker. The reason was the JLs sounded much better even though "on paper" there was no way they would.
