The JL specs you are quoting are at 14.4v, at 12.5 it would be 250w to each sub and 180w to each 8.8, but JL has also been known to be conservative with the ratings. Also remember much easier and less expensive to install one amp vs 2 or 3 or 4. Either choice for amps will sound great.
For some reason I have always been afraid of running subs and mains off of the same amp. Different loads and power requirements.... I suppose that is the old way of thinking and the newer amps can handle it.

yes not a concern with any modern amp that I know of, certainly not any from JL or Wetsounds.

4 ohm jl cant and wont let you run 1 ohm .. I'm sure you know that though .. I don't believe running 4 ohm or two ohm makes them more powerful like older amps did ,, I might be wrong but I do know jl amps arnt 1 ohm stable .

For the HD or MHD series amps they deliver the same power from 1.5-4 ohm, and same power regardless of battery voltage, which is what I don't like about them as your batteries drain they draw more and more current to maintain output.

I wasn't sure if you were running them at 1 ohm even though you aren't supposed to, but I guess no need when it delivers the same power at 4. The XD and M series though do put out more power at 2 ohms, I agree though probably asking for a short lived amp running them at 1.
