Raymarine Axiom or Simrad?

Looking for a good Navigation system that will allow routing and radio controls. I am down to these 2 brands. Anyone have any major pro's or cons? Looking at the Raymarine Axiom 9 or the Simrad Cruise or Go9. Livorsi is cutting my dash next week so I haver to get them some answers quick!

Simrad cruise is just a gps, no network capability. I prefer Garmin but out of what you listed go with the go9

I have never had good luck with Raymarine. I hear good things about Sinead. I prefer Garmin.

all the videos and post I could find seemed to state the garmin lakevu maps aren’t as good as the Navionocs now even though they are owned by the same people. I saw one video where the Simrad did better auto routing than the garmin in a side by side compare. Any input on why garmin?

easy to see in full sunlight? How is the search function for destinations? We are generally at lakes we don’t know well and looking for restaurants and marinas.

much more user friendly. It’s laid out and the menus are all listed in a common sense way. Just about anyone can navigate through it easily. Simrad and raymarine, have the manual close by until you’re very familiar. As far as the charting being better, buy the g3 card, and you’ll be good to go. Maybe some hardcore fisherman need the extra detail but not for cruising.

If smartcraft engines are installed use the GO9, it is same as VesselView903 from Mercruiser and now it uses the same Software. Fusion Audio Compatibel over thouch.

I like the simrad Go series for the smartcraft ability and I have it networked to my JL media master. I don’t really ever use the navigation on it.

Late to the show, but currently testings an Axiom 7. Give it about a 6 in the direct sunlight cranked to the max. The build in GPS, worthless if mounted under aluminum. Stereo control with Fusion works very nice. Has Spotify, Netflix and few other things you'll never use. Charting, all about the same software anymore.. Gauges, ah... Simrad be what ya want...
