The starter relay is already there, its called the slave relay, he needs a main power relay (Red/Purple to Purple) connection

Many of the cruisers place a key switch inside the cabin which sends power to the helm. My self I like the hidden kill switch, and I would place it on the Red/Purple (main power feed)

I use the Mercruiser Ouick Stop Switch for ignition on and a Start Switch from ebay. Works fine on my 525efi`s.
