I've been looking at the Actisense to convert analog to digital. Anyone have experience with it?
I want to know:
Will the digital data from fuel help the readings be more steady? Analog guage bounces around a lot.
What gauges should I keep on the dash if any?
What display monitor is best that works with guages and maps split screen?
Appreciate any insight on this. Thanks

Would not mind hearing about it but I don't know of anyone which makes a A to D converter for old Merc analog to digital. There are NEMA to Vessel View, and the other way. Even Actisense doesn't list anything light "I think" your asking about

This is Cheaper and better. Just connect wires from your Gauges to it and it spits out NMEA 2000 . Then most new MFD or chart plotters can read it and display it on the screen.

Got a black Friday deal on Garmin Echomap 93sv UHD. Apparently it is MNEA 2000 ready and I want to do the same with my 1998 MEFI 1 and a Supercharged 454MPI. I would like to add some gauges including water pressure, boost/vac, fuel pressure, oil temp, and maybe others. Just started looking into this as I never thought about doing digital and was trying to figure out multi gauges or where to add them. I found a few different companies that make converters. The Actisense and the Albacombi both seem to allow you to hook up a computer for customizing the gauges. There is also the Noland and a chinese product out there that does two engines but not sure if it is customizable at all or will just list the NMEA outputs as engine 2 water temp if I wanted to use it for engine 1 oil temp. I am probably not gonna mold in the new unit to my dash so will have some extra gauge holes to fill and may just use analog gauges for the extras I want in those spots. Anyone out there have any ideas on the best setup for this. Not trying to hijack the thread.
