I have managed to get hold of a MEFI 4B and map for my engine, now the last step is to get it programmed and hopefully be back on the water :-)

Does anybody have MEFIburn? either UK or could try using the diagnostic cable I already have.

is the motor stock or modified?what engine are we talking.
as for cable,you need mefiburn's cable that will be key'd w/ the software.a couple of us may be able to help you out.

Its unclear what your asking, you have a bad 4b and a good one, then a replacement bin file in a email or something thats correct you want flashed on good one or your boat needs to be tuned?

Apologies if it wasn't clear, have a bad 4B, a replacement and hopefully a map being sent to me from the engine builder.

send him your good ecu and let him put the new tune on it.now,if you want to send one of us the tune and ecu,,we could put the tune on it.

Maybe theres a language barrior/something lost in translation? Im gonna assume you mean "what is a good tune"?. Since mefiburn is blind speed density and makes ZERO adjustments (does NOT self tune based on maf or 02) based on what engine needs or wants aside from map sensor, tps, iac, coolant, IAT, rpms, you need to start with a tune that is very close to what you need thats "safe" rich and "timing safe" so you dont hurt your engine tuning it.SO, if that IS what your asking, you need a base file someones developed for a engine with same injectors, cu inches, intake, cam,heads, compression, exhaust, available octane etc fwiw, and THEN dial it in based on tailpipe 02 readings, knock, performance, drivability, etc,Smitty

Nope was just wondering if there was a map update to replace the OE logic.
